
Dr. Judy has the honor of joining the Richmond community to help provide the best oncologic care for patients. Originally a native of Ohio, he earned his BA in Zoology from Miami (OH) University. He then went on to complete his masters in biological sciences and his medical degree at the University of Toledo College of Medicine. He completed his internal medicine year in Greenville, SC and finally his radiation oncology residency at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, NC. He is excited to come to Richmond as he and his wife have fallen in love with Virginia ever since being married in Charlottesville. He has a deep passion for helping those in need as they battle their disease and strives to provide his patients exceptional patient centered care. He works hard to make patients feel comfortable and confident with their treatment plans and values a positive relationship with his patients.
He is interested is all areas of oncology and radiation oncology, including brachytherapy, image guided intensity modulated radiation therapy, and stereotactic radiosurgery and radiation therapy. He has been published in several radiation oncology journals, has several book chapters, and has presented at multiple national meetings. He also has a keen interest in radiation quality and safety and has focused his publications on that topic. This is important topic in our field to ensure the delivery of high quality radiation therapy in a stream lined, error free, patient centered process.
In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and children. He also enjoys playing and watching sports, reading, photography, and traveling.
